A Phone Case... The Tale of my First Cell Phone

Well, Aaron and I broke down and picked up a cell phone yesterday morning. We're going to be heading off to California next week so we thought it would be handy. It's one of those prepay dealys so no worries about a contract... nicey nice. Anyway I went about creating a case for it, not a cozy as it has exposed buttons and needed to be stiff, thankfully the phone was settled in a plastic shape in the packaging and that worked just fine. A bit more plastic cut from the container by tracing the phone shape worked well for the lid... then I just knit a cozy for the case. I finished it today- went real quick - and I put on the Velcro closer this morning. Ah, if all knitting projects went that fast. Oh, the KIT I ironed on is for Keep In Touch... but you guessed that didn't you you clever little monkey.

I also recently stopped by Value Village where there is an abundance of Threads magazines for about 50 cents each. I found one with instructions for a seamless raglan sweater knit from the top down. It was an article by Jean Dickinson from 1988, found some additional info about it on the net here. I got measurements from my niece and nephew from their mother over the phone and I'm currently working on a raglan sweater for Leroy. Looking good so far, and it goes fast. :)

Hello Monica,
This is sooooo cute. Love the pink and black checks :0) Also, the KIT reminded me of knight rider, except with one less "T" -the very girly version of KITT, except without the cheezy David H. and his frizzed out hair! Ahhhhhh, gotta love the
80's! And love the turtle hat too!
