Amber's Banana Berry Hat

Here's Amber in her hat. I must admit I do enjoy working with fun fur. So far I haven't had to pay for it... wonder what will happen when I run out.

Oh! something useful...

With this free graphing site you can upload images and it will graph them for cross stitch or knitting for you. Very handy.

Here She Is...

Doesn't she look adorable in it? I love the way the fun fur frames her face. I've also started a bit of loom knitting with the knifty knitter looms. I loomed a banana berry hat for Amber with a bit of fun fur in the rolled cuff (I hope to get a picture of her in it later). I'm currently looming a baby blanket in blue. I may be adding a sage green crochet edge to it afterward as the ends tend to curl a bit. Hmmm... tends to curl. We truely are knitting models of the universe. Reminds me of Kristi's mobius straps. Anyway, I was thinking. If you can do ribbing on a loom, and you can switch between two colours, then there's no reason you shouldn't be able to illusion knit on a loom, though the design would have to be quite large. Pretty cool, an optical illusion in a loom knit garment... worth a thought.

Honey Comb Hat

Well, I gave up on the Alphabet baby blanket, bit too complicated really, and decided to make a honey comb hat for Savanna. The bees were solid glass so I sewed on little yellow buttons and superglued the bees to them. I added a a little off white yarn to the very end (I was running out of yellow and I wanted more of a cuff) along with some white fun fur. I used the same combination to put a line of crochet along the bottom of the cuff. I think it turned out rather well.

Shake, Shake, Shake. Shake Your... well you know

And here are my little green booties. I showed them to the mother-to-be and she seemed pleased. I've started work on an alphabet baby blanket. Hopefully I'll have a pic of it in progress soon.

Amber's Wonderful Textures

I love Amber's scarf so far, though you can see some of the texture here the picture doesn't do it justice.

Kristi's Quiver

Here's Kristi's project. A quiver to be felted and worn across the back. It's looking great so far. She's really inspired me to try felting something, not sure what yet...

Enter the Raven

Well I finally got around to posting again, it's been an interesting summer. And here's Kristi's little cutie Raven. Isn't he adorable? He looks a bit surprised.
