Steampunk Jewelry

Well I did say that other crafty things might find their way here. These were inspired by some Steampunk Jewelry selections I discovered on Etsy. I'd typed in time machine for the fun of it (and also 'cause it's right there on the homepage and I thought"why not") and there were all these cool pieces of jewelry that people had made from old clocks and watches... cogs out and all. Of course these are not melded together like those but I had two old watches, I had loose stones and bits of junk jewelry, and by golly I had a leftover tube of superglue gel just begging to be used up. So this is the result. OK, so I wont be selling them on Etsy but I think they're rather nice. :)

80s Flashback

Well they're finished! All done up in blue and purple just like her Dalek... from the very same yarn in fact. She likes them very much. Since we got the inspiration from the Kidd Video cartoons we joked that if she sneezed she'd get super strength like Glitter the fairy.

Well we got together at Amber's this time around. It was great fun, Kristi may have given me a lead on the perfect yarn for dolly clothes (due to it's dyeablity) and we all got a nice review of yarn over (tricky little buggers those). Oh, I suppose other that the bear and legwarmers I'm working on for my niece I ought to show my latest dolly dos. the 1st is another little sock monkey miniature, these little guys are quite addictive to work on. And of course my star knit hat...
