Celtic Curves

This is the scarf / hood combo I'm working on for my mother. The inspiration came from an old knitting magazine from the 50s I'd found at a second hand shop, however that one didn't have the celtic twist. The picture isn't particularly clear, (I think this is because the yarn is a very soft purple heather) I plan to put in a better view of it later. I've already done a bit of leaf edging on the starting end... I don't really care for tassles, they look a bit ratty over time.

I guess I figured it out. This is the shadow scarf for my husband. Obviously the hidden image is the Superman shield. I had to hunt all over the internet before I could find one I could use and then it took me some time graphing it out. The first shield is in the classic red on yellow, the middle shield (which I'm working on now) will be green on white, and the final will be a ditto of the first. The little darling standing on the scarf while I was taking the photo is Baby.

New to Blogging *Smile*

Well, this is my first ever blog. I decided to start one on knitting because I've very passionate about it and I'm hoping to share some of my work (or maybe just show off). Anyway, I've been knitting since I was fourteen and I generally received a lot of flack for it... you know "you're not an old lady, watcha doin' that for". Oh well. Right now I'm working on two separate projects. A shadow knit scarf for my husband and a celtic hood/scarf combination for my mother. As soon as I figure out how to post photos of them I will.
