Some Enchanted Evening...

Well as of the last knitting night, Dena finished her delightful octopus!

And I managed to finish up my little Blythe hoodie!

And of course Amber brought the guests of honor...

Oh, and much thanks to Dena who send me this wonderful link...

I think the pic of Audrey jumping is just adorable!

Of Mice and Octopi... and balls of yarny goodness!!!

Trilby has been working diligently on her mouse. It's so cute in it's little robe with it's book. Almost looks like it will get up at any moment and fix a cup of hot coco. She will shortly be making some furniture for it, the lucky little thing.

And here is Dena's latest work with our ocean dwelling friends, head to be attached soon...

And of course the wonderful creature that Amber created...

She had to wrestle with it a bit to get it into it's final form, but it's quite tame and obedient now, not to mention beautiful as well!

Can't wait to see what she's going to make out of it.

Fun Felted Hats!

So I made my girls a couple of felted hats and then I thought 'why not make one for myself'. So here it is, the first felted hat I've ever made (for people that is).

The Blythe hat pattern is found at Ravelry, it's called the Blythe Felted Hat & Tote Bag

And the pattern for the hat for people (also on Ravelry) is called Debs Derby (F102)

Much thanks to the talented people who came up with these patterns. : )

And the Academy Award Goes To...

...Amber Buzby, for her fabulous work on The Scarf That Wouldn't End. Amber would very much like to thank her husband Zeke, who has been ever so supportive of her work on The Scarf..., Trilby, who offered up a fantastic performance in her supportive role (right in pic), and her two cat children Libby and Tiramisu, whose helpful antics with yarn and yarn bag inspection have inspired her to strive for perfection.

My 1st Høxbro Bag!!!

Well it's finally finished, my 1st Høxbro bag. I made quite a few changes from the original pattern but I'm quite pleased with the results. I can sling it over my head and shoulder, fill it with yarn, and knit as I walk about. Bliss!!!

Just a quick Little Fix...

Nearly done with my bag, but some cute knitting themed beads I found at Michaels inspired me to do this little project with some of my novelty yarn. It's a coffee cozy... or a wrist warmer.

Let a Yarn Ball be your Pillow...

At least I think that's how the expression goes...

Here's Amber with her marvelous chunky scarf.... I love the colors in this, and it seems to be knitting up fast. We also have Trilby's latest creation (very skillfully done), and Deena's octopi (hmmm... is that spelled right? And just what is the plural of octopus?) in process. The larger of the two should make a very cool hat.

I Finally Finished That Blasted Sweater....

Well the top down seamless is done and I'm so pleased with it. Much thanks to Kristi for clueing me in about the Jeny's Surprisingly stretchy bind off I used for the neck. It was fantastic.

We also have a gorgeous variegated scarf by Amber.

And a beautiful lace shawl that Kristi is working on.

The Darling Buds of Trilby

Gosh I hope I spelled her name right. Anywho Trilby has joined our little endevor and has been making the most wonderful polymer clay flowers. I wanted to make sure I didn't forget to get pics of her buds and blossoms and in the end her's were the only pics I took. Ah well next time I'll get a pic of the lovely coffee cozy that Amber is knitting too, as well as The Sweater That Wouldn't End!!! that I'm still working on (preferably finished of course.)

Our chosen entertainment for the night, a sexy 80s mullet and a big bang. Guess you can't go to far wrong there...

At the end of the Rainbow...

... bet you thought it was gold huh, nope, it's Dusty. Amber's lovely Noro scarf (in progress) was rolled out in front of her. She was checking it out when I got out the camera, and she looked up just as I took the shot.

Amber shared some of her lovely new yarn finds with us, and kindly sported her finished loom knit hat in Simply Soft and her finished basketweave scarf.

Of course Archie decided she needed puppy kisses to sell the whole ensemble.

And here we have Deena's afghan (in progress) I just love the colors in this one, all beautiful jewel tones.

And of course we have Zeke, sporting his finished manly (with small flecks of color for personality of course) hat and scarf set. Which both turned out rather well.

I've got to get on the ball here...

So Sooo... long ago I used to post regularly here. Ack! my new job has been something of a distraction. But here we are again. We'll start things off by posting some gratuitous cat pictures...
We also have Amber's latest project, and my first ever shop sample for my new place of work. It's very pumkiny wumpkiny no?

Amber's Fabulous Shawl

Ta Da... Amber finished her fabulous shawl. A beautiful pattern created by Kristi. Its just lovely in a gorgeous variegated purple/blue.

And these little critters are towashis (ack, hope I'm spelling that right). Kristi made up a couple of these and they are so neat... but don't look too close, you'll be mesmerized!

And here we have Amber's bicolor basketweave, I just love the heathered colors in this.

This is my first attempt at useing the top down seamless sweater formula to make something for myself, fingers crossed.

And here's one of our darling knitting mascots Libby... you can tell she's way excited about the yarn huh? ;)

Big Knits

Boy it took me some time to get this posted, but the Rowan shrug is finished and is now displayed in the store. I'm quite pleased with it. I even made the big button to go with it out of polymer clay. It has a neat little celtic knot embelishment.
This was my first time working with a bulky and I knew it would knit up fast but I didn't realise just how fast. I highly recomend using the Rowan big wool for quick, wonderful, and very satisfying knits. :)
