Imagine me an Alligator...

OK, so today's post is a little pic heavy. I finished Gertie the Gator (actually she's supposed to be a crocodile) in all her grand green goodness.

Of course, once again, the more angels the better.

Zeke and Amber were nice enough to give me a ride home and introduce me to the you tube wonder that is Connie Talbot. I must share this with Savanna... Connie has her own videos out now. Oh, and Amber is pretending to use proto Gertie as a Q-tip. :)

And of course I had to show off my new Knit Geek shirt from Memories and More. Here I am doing my muppet smile... basically you just open your mouth and through out your arms and everyone thinks you're smiling (hey, if it works for puppets).

Proto Gertie... nuff said.

And lastly we have here a pic of Amber's lovely burgundy wrap. I adore the feathery design it sports. Just perfect for the change in season.

This Little Piggy...

Well I finished my 1st Alan Dart amigurumi. I like him (well obviously I took more than one picture right?) Nothing denotes interest more than wanting to take multiple pictures of the same subject at different angles... or maybe it's not just interest, maybe it's an obsession, yes... I will definitely be making some more of these. Up next (I hope) a happy little alligator. Oh, and much thanks to Kristi for winding up all those colorful little cakes, it made it very handy for me to do this project. I think I'll call him Hambert.

Felted Fuchsia Bag!

Well I finished the bag. I think it turned out rather well. I did one fuchsia with the simple interior petals and one with the ruffled interior petals. Oh, the pattern is by Noni, credit where credit is due and all that... :)

Amber's 1st Mosaic Knit!

Well here it is (hopefully my pictures are in order). This is Amber's first mosaic knit. She brought it into the shop and I didn't have my camera with me (actually now that I work in a knitting shop you'd think I'd just bring along the camera everyday) but now here it is. I love mosaic knitting... so much color mixing and you're only ever working with one strand of color at a time. If that's not magic I don't know what is.

I also got a shot of the new scarf she's making, a manly scarf with a nice broad rib and little color flecks throughout (my camera might not be picking them up here). It looks great, makes me want to make Aaron another scarf... though he does have quite a few...

And lastly we have Kristis latest sock venture, love the colors here, and look Libby's inspecting it too. Good to know the cats will always be around for quality control. :)
